Intermediate Marksman Course 09/19/2026

Intermediate Marksman is an 8-hour course for experienced shooters looking to advance their capabilities. The content is designed for students who have already established a higher level of proficiency, providing professional instruction in more advanced applications of a scoped rifle and the supporting equipment.

This course aims to expose shooters to a wider array of shooting positions and situations, as well as guidance in practical methods to deliver well-aimed, accurate rounds on target. Students will experience shooting from unorthodox positions, as well as shooting with an elevated heart rate.

With a heavy focus placed on positional shooting, students will learn when and where it is reasonable to shoot with acceptable margins for error and techniques to rapidly re-engage, when necessary.

During the course, instruction will concentrate on:

• Positional shooting

• Tripod use

• Stress-shooting

• Rapid deployment

• Rapid re-engagement

• Shooter-Spotter teamwork

Required Equipment:

• Scoped rifle

  • Semi-auto or bolt action

  • Scope must be mounted​

  • Caliber must be between .223 and .308

• Bipod

• Rear shooting bag

• Quality tripod designed for rifle shooting

• Backpack

• Adjustable sling

• Eye and Ear protection

• 100 rounds of quality ammunition

  • Ammunition of the same lot number preferred​

• Note taking materials

• Laser Range Finder

• Binoculars/Spotting scope

• Rifle case/bag

• Hat and/or attire for inclement weather
